Gabriela is currently a full-time IT Application Analyst and a part-time student at McGill (studying Information Technology), she discovered Passion for Paws through social media. Inspired by our mission, she joined as a volunteer in 2024, where she helps with social media content, more specifically Instagram.

In 2023, Gabriela lost her beloved 12-year-old dog to cancer. Not yet ready to welcome another dog into her life, volunteering became a way to honor that bond while channeling her grief into something meaningful. She also started offering dog walking and dog-sitting services, connecting with each pup’s unique personality and caring for them while their families travel. Spending time with these incredible animals, each with their own story, has been a healing experience, filling her days with joy, purpose, and love. 

Volunteering at Passion for Paws has been especially meaningful and a deeply rewarding journey, and she cherishes every opportunity to help dogs find the home they deserve.

For her, being part of this mission feels like coming full circle—a way to give back to the animals that have brought so much light into her life!
