Canine Placement Manager and Volunteer Work Coordinator

Katrina Desabrais

Katrina’s involvement with Passion for Paws began with applying for volunteer opportunities that she found through a friend. She was immediately inspired by Olivia and her team, and was determined to get more involved. Now, she is responsible for coordinating all our volunteers, including finding foster families for our dogs, organizing transportation, and planning fun outings for the pups.

Katrina is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in physical therapy at McGill University, with hopes of pursuing medicine in the future. Despite her busy schedule, she always finds time to dedicate to the rescue and has even fostered one of our dogs during her time with PFP.

Katrina grew up an avid equestrian, spending the majority of her evenings and weekends at the barn. Being around animals has always been therapeutic for her, and volunteering with Passion for Paws fills a void that only 4-legged animals can fill. She is very excited for the future of the organization as well as everything she will learn from the rest of the team.
