Diego’s Rescue Story
Diego's story began under heart-wrenching circumstances. At six years old, he landed in our care due to owners overwhelmed by life's demands, unable to provide the love and care he so desperately needed. When Diego arrived, he was a heartbreaking sight - emaciated, neglected, and in dire need of immediate medical attention. You could count his ribs, see his hip bones protruding, and notice the painful calluses on the back of his knees. His eyes told a story of suffering, but his spirit remained unbroken.
Thanks to your support, Diego's path to recovery has been transformative. In his foster home, he slowly but surely emerged from his shell. Playing with toys, savoring meals, and forming a strong bond with his foster momma, Diego showcased his resilience and capacity to love, even after the neglect he endured.
Today, we're thrilled to share that Diego has found his forever home with the foster who played a crucial role in helping him regain his health. Through dedication and care, Diego has gained weight and transformed into 75 pounds of pure love and joy. His journey is a testament to the remarkable impact of compassion, commitment, and community support.
